Dinas Pendidikan Pemerintah Kota Depok (Disdik) is a government institution who is responsible for educational matters in Kota Depok. One of those responsibilities is governing the policy and process of student enrollment to schools in Kota Depok.

Disdik is planning to develop a student enrollment system that can be viewed online by students and their parents. We answer that challenge by developing an integrated Online Student Enrollment System covering Disdik and all the schools within its jurisdiction.

Business Challenge

Around 2 months before the time for new student registration, Disdik sent out a request for us to develop an Online Student Enrollment System. In just 2 months, we have to deliver a fully-tested and ready-to-use system implemented in a not ready-to-use environment. So within those 2 months, we will not simply build a system but also prepare the IT infrastructure to support the system. Imagine creating an online system in a not-online environment. That’s just one of the obstacles we need to overcome in this system development.

How We Helped

We manage to develop 3 different systems to provide a total solution in developing an Online Student Enrollment System for Disdik:

• Student Enrollment Management System. We develop this system to be implemented in every relevant school in Kota Depok. Each school won’t need any Internet connection to perform any student enrollment management task.


• Database Integration System. Each of the above system from every school will have an exported student enrollment database that will be integrated using this Database Integration System in a centralized location within Disdik.


• Student Enrollment System website. This is the main entry point for people (especially students and their parents) to access the information of student enrollment through the Internet.

Aside from developing and deploying the system, we are also responsible in conducting training sessions for the operators and the administrators of the Online Student Enrollment System.
