PT Dharma Polimetal: Middleware RFID Application
Summary
Client: PT Dharma Polimetal
Subject: Middleware RFID Application

By Technology: RFid Based Application
By Industry: Industrial Equipment
Working together with PT Dharma Polimetal (Dharma), we develop a middleware RFID application to improve controlling and monitoring of products coming in and out of the warehouse. The middleware will be set up so that it will automatically detect and record relevant data of any products and eventually synchronize them with Dharma's existing SAP application.
Business Challenge
Implementing the middleware RFID application requires a team with deep understanding of RFID processing including reading and writing RFID tags. The team should also have sufficient qualification to be able to synchronize the middleware with existing SAP application in order to provide an integrated solution. Specific functional requirements could be sorted as follow.
Efficient data entry.
The middleware should enable automatic detection for incoming and outgoing products from the warehouse thus enabling automatic recording of relevant data of the products.
Easy monitoring of products.
The middleware should provide a feature to enable managers to monitor incoming and outgoing products.
System integration.
The middleware should integrate with existing SAP application so that any data recorded by the middleware should be synchronize with relevant data in the SAP application.
Customizable application.
The middleware should accommodate a high possibility of design changes that would affect the middleware. This requires the middleware to be highly flexible so that it must have customization function for itself.
How We Helped
We respond to Dharma through a professional team with high capability of developing a middleware RFID application which will integrate with Dharma's SAP application. The middleware was successfully developed covering all the functional requirements.
The middleware supports Dharma in monitoring the flow of products going in and out of the warehouse. Thus enabling more control over the products. This feature should reduce the risk of product lost in the process.
Automatic data recording and data synchronizing with Dharma's SAP helps remove human error when entering the data manually. This feature also reduce the time required for data entry process.
Combining all the features of the middleware mentioned above, Dharma is now able to move large amount of products in and out of the warehouse without worrying a single data to be lost.
